The Koko Master (D’banj) is back on the spotlight after his controversial interview with Sahara Report. There is a transcribed version of the video interview here. Female soul singer Lami has released the video for her 2011 single, Ori Mi Wu. It is the first video from her album titled Human scheduled for a summer release, this year. The video comes right on the heels of the valentines day release of her song, Baby, on which she featured Mo’cheddah and Kel. Ori Mi Wu, makes for easy listening and has that relaxed feel to love songs that Lami is popular for. The video features Chocolate City’s Ice Prince and was co-produced by Lami and Abuja-based producer Gru.

XTsamurai traces his foray into music to a musical family. Growing up with a singing mom and multi-instrumentalist father, he gained significant musical awareness as a child. Finding a growing love for guitar-based music, he was drawn towards blues and rock music which he has successfully fused with his own unique style.

His rock influences have been Third Day, Linkin Park, P.O.D, Staind and System of a Down. On the other hand, rap has also found its place in his music and he cites Eminem, Bone thugs ‘n’ Harmony and D.A. Truth as part of his rap influences.

He is currently working on several projects and towards the release of his debut album which would be made available second quarter 2012. His new single is “Shine in my Light’ in which he features super producer Flo. The song talks about standing up for what is good while drawing strength from within.

MirrorMan Music has decided to release the third single “Mind Move” off frontman eL Flaco‘s critically acclaimed debut “The Samurai Series Volume One: VII”.

The video was shot in South London by one half of The Red Cap Chiefs, producer & film maker Jimi Tones (who is currently in talks with SDC among others) and has a cameo appearance from the brain behind the tape itself, SugarKing.
